Nathaniel Ru and His Innovative Marketing Technique

There is only one thing to do when the odds are stacked against you. There is a need for you to come out swinging. That is what Nathaniel Ru did when he hit the scene. He had to know that there were tons of fast food establishments that would prove to be quite successful because these places sold the opposite of healthy food. Nathaniel Ru would naturally find it hard to compete with these companies if he simply opened a restaurant and assumed that people would show up.

Nathaniel Ru knew that it was all about successfully marketing this company to the mainstream. He made a decision to show people that there was a need for them to try restaurants like Sweetgreen. He was turning things up a couple of levels beyond what a new restaurant would typically do. There was this whole element of having a farmer involved in the process of getting the food to the consumer. This was very important. People had to know that there was a process that was different than what they were used to doing.

The people in this festival are abstract artists, but they have attracted an interesting crowd. Nathaniel Ru has been a real leader when it comes to healthy food, and there is a reason for that. He has self-appointed himself because there was no other fast food restaurant that was doing this on a massive scale. The closest thing that people got to low calorie fast food was Subway. After Jared, the Subway weight loss poster man, went to prison it was difficult for this company to show up as a healthy food leader. That is why Nathaniel Ru has been able to penetrate the market with such a strong presence. He has been able to market to the people that may have overlooked his restaurant in the past.

It has also worked quite well to his advantage to have news coverage about the large amount of obesity rates that are plaguing Americans. It is like Nathaniel Ru has come to the rescue as the knight in shining armor with healthy food. He is the person that has been able to market at just the right time.

Markus Rothkranz’s Vegan Chocolate Dipped Strawberries and Marzipan Recipe

The easiest to make vegan chocolate recipe is from the YouTuber and Vegan cook book chef Markus Rothkranz. His Vegan chocolate recipe is available in his vegan cook books

All you need is a freezer, one cup of cacao powder, one fourth cup of carob powder, one fourth cup of maple syrup, one fourth or one half cup of cashew butter, one fourth or one half cup of coconut oil and one teaspoon of alcohol free vanilla to make the vegan chocolate recipe from Markus Rothkranz. Mix all of these ingredients together in a bowl.

To make chocolate dipped strawberries, you can dip the berries into the chocolate now. Set the chocolate dipped strawberries onto a plate. Allow them to sit in a freezer for about ten to twenty minutes. You don’t want them to be in the freezer for longer than that or they will freeze.

To make marzipan you just have to combine one and a half cups of finely group almonds and three tablespoons of maple syrup. You can then make little round ovals of the marzipan mix onto the chocolate. You can allow the marzipan to be exposed or you can pour more chocolate over the marzipan to cover it up. You can place peanut butter or other butter into one of those chocolate cups to make something similar to Reese’s peanut butter cups. Place the marzipan or butter cups into the freezer for ten to twenty minutes or longer until it hardens. Take them out of the freezer and you can enjoy.

The recipe is quick, so easy and really doesn’t call for that many ingredients. You can easily make them right after dinner for a dessert.

Hippeas: Symbiotic Sustainability in Snacking

Carolyn Chinn, merchandising lead for Starbucks Retail Branded Partnerships, has to fill her stores with snacks that everyone can enjoy. And these days that is difficult to do because you must cater to vegans and vegetarians, people who do not eat gluten, Kosher consumers and those conscious consumers who will only eat organic and sustainable sourced food. That’s nearly impossible to pull off with the name brands of chips, pretzels and cheese puffs. But there is an upstart out there that packs a delicious punch while satisfying even the most picky of consumers. These snacks are called Hippeas.

Hippeas have become a reality because of Green Park Holdings CEO Livio Bisterzo. The Italian entrepreneur now lives in Los Angeles, but he has a brilliant history in the business world. He’s taken such brands as Kyoku and Little Miracles to markets all over the world and now he aims to make Hippeas a dominant snack on the global market as well.

He starts with the chickpea, a legume that is nutrient-packed with protein and fiber; great for the body. His company then turns those beautiful little veggies into a crispy snack shaped something like a cheese puff. Then they dust those nutritious nuggets with a wide variety of flavors like vegan white cheddar, far out fajita, happenin’ hickroy, maple haze, pepper power and sriracha sunshine. The texture and mouth feel of these snacks is better than name brand competitors and the chickpea delivers three grams of fiber and four grams of protein in every serving.

Hippeas chose the chickpea because of its abundant goodness for mother earth. The plant has a symbiotic relationship with the soil, returning the key nutrient nitrogen to the ground as a byproduct of growth. Nitrogen is one of three leading indicators for soil fertility.

Livio Bisterzo is not only taking care of his consumers and the soil, he takes care of his producers through an organization called Farm Africa. Farm Africa teaches chickpea farmers in Eastern Africa more efficient, sustainable techniques while helping to streamline their businesses.

This revolutionary way of producing snacks puts Hippeas into position to dominate the snack market. It’s why the tasty snacks are sold in Starbucks all over the world.
